DENKtRÄUME is a feminist education center in Hamburg. It has been archiving feminist knowledge since 1983 in various forms (reference books and fiction, press clippings, magazines, videos, brochures, pamphlets, databases, info material …), organizing events on intersectional feminist issues, and serving as a space for the community to connect, network, and organize.
The inter-university institution for prospective and current doctoral researchers, postdoctoral researchers, junior professors, and academic supervisors in Hamburg.
A podcast initiated by female academics with a background in mathematics and in climate research. By providing an opportunity to share and connect, Hypatia’s Zine wishes to draw attention to gender and diversity in the academic world, to encourage reflection on women’s empowerment individually, institutionally, systematically and holistically, and—perhaps most importantly—how to re-discover the strength and power in each one of us and head for a wonderful life.
A cross-university institution that helps to further women in science and prepare them for leadership positions. In addition to scholarships for female doctoral candidates, Pro-Exzellenzia offers a variety of workshops that young female scientists from all participating universities and research institutions are able to attend as well as a qualification program for female academics with a migration background. The offer is complemented with a diverse range of lectures and cooperative activities. Pro-Exzellenzia plus is funded by the European Social Fund (ESF) Hamburg and the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg.
An action alliance for gender and queer studies in Hamburg. Queering Academia (QA) has close links to the Queer Studies working group at Universität Hamburg and organizes the lecture series Jenseits der Geschlechtergrenzen.
