RVL Jenseits der Geschlechtergrenzen: Shofie Bahalwan “Queer Affects and Transformative Justice” (EN)
What does queer theory have to offer for thinking about transformative justice? What is affect theory, and what does it have to do with queer theory? In this lecture, we will introduce the groundbreaking contributions of queer theorists in the development of affect theory. We will discuss the various possibilities opened up by queer affect in thinking about justice. This lecture will also serve as a Black queer intervention on how Black queer feminist authors and scholars contributed and prefigured the development of affect theory despite the under-citation of their contributions.
